Yesterday I was playing out on the back porch with Nathan and Nia. I pointed out a giant spider to Nathan and said, "Nathan, we call these spiders with the really long legs something silly. Do you want to know what it is?" He did. "Daddy Long Legs," I responded.

Immediate understanding registered on Nathan's face.

"Yea," he said, "and we call the other ones 'Nathan Little Legs'!"
