This picture is a sign that I painted some time ago. It hangs over Nathan's bed. It is actually painted on some scrap piece of sailboat that Nick managed to salvage after the Titanic end of his sailing trip on Clear lake.
The next picture is not too exciting, but for some reason Mom Jones was interested. Silly, Mom...requesting pictures of Nia's closet! Anyways, these are all of her clothes. The hanging set on the right is 0-3 month, the one on the left is 3-6. This system allows me to have easy access to Nia's clothes without kicking Nathan's clothes out of his dresser. There is a rhyme and reason to the organization, not that anyone cares, but the top is onesies, next is pajamas, third is outfits and tops, fourth is bottoms. Bottoms on the bottom...it's clever now that I think about it.
This is a picture of Nia's crib with her new quilt on it. Obviously, this isn't showing the whole quilt, but I was trying to give you an idea of how it looked. Mostly blue (representing the sea) with sailboats donning feminine colored sails. Notice the bear on the bed--we made that ourselves! Aren't we talented?
Okay, and this is an up-close of one of the sailboats from a better perspective.
Alright, last picture, this sign is also painted on a scrap piece of boat. This piece hangs above Nia's crib. The coloring is meant to match the deepest red in the quilt (see the large sail on the above picture). Hope this makes everyone feel a little closer to our house. Can't wait to see you all soon!

I love the signs! You are such a talented painter. I love the clothes too. I took pictures of Karis' clothes hanging up in the closet before she was born, there was just something about all that pink. I keep hanging on to all the clothes Karis grows out of in case you are interested in more hand-me-downs, just let me know!
Ahhhhhhhh ... I LOVE the pictures! Thank you! I am smiling and happy! It's nice to be able to see what you have been talking about -- I guess I am just a visually oriented person. Beautiful quilt, great signs, wonderful -- all of it!
P.S. Yes! You are talented! :)
