Valencia's Premier Motion Picture:

We discovered today that our kitten is a regular Santa Claus. We laughed over and over again as she performed the same magic act. Nick grabbed the camera so we could share this with all of you!

Here is Valencia on our bed. When she stretches out she looks really long! She took a nap in my spot today. Notice the bell on her neck--this is how we keep track of her. She jingles wherever she goes. When she gets bigger, we think it would be fun to put a cowbell around her neck. Seriously, I saw 'miniature' cowbells at Michaels. If they hadn't been far too large for her to carry, I would have been tempted! (Nick and I joked that if we tied the cowbell on her neck now she would end up with a hump-back!)

"Ni-Night Mow Mow." This is what Nathan says when anyone is sleeping.

The most time-conscious member of the family. Valencia likes to sleep on top of the alarm clock. If it rings, she surely won't miss it! It has never gone off while she's been laying on top...I have to wonder what her reaction would be? Panic! I can picture her promptly leaping to the ground as the buzzer sounds literally right in her ear!

Nick finished the pet door out to the patio the other day. Because Valencia is still so small, it has now been outfitted with a little boardwalk-style ramp. We are able to keep the litter box and other various kitty supplies outside. This is fabulous as it leaves us with no residual odor whatsoever! Valencia LOVES being out on the patio, and so this officially makes her 'all set.' Nick managed to replace a single pane of glass from a window and retrofit it with some custom-cut Plexiglas into which he inserted a pet door. Because the Plexiglas is much thinner than a standard door (into which a cat door is intended to go), he made the wooden frame to hold it in place. We kept the original pane of glass and can stick it back into place when we are ready to move out. Perfect!

Nick,

Your project looks good. Did you take shop class at Rockford, I can't remember --- must be old age setting in.

I love the video. How in the world does she climb up the chimney? Is she hiding from Nathan up there? The pictures are so sweet, I especially love the one of her on the alarm clock.
