AND I SAID TO MYSELF,

"WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD"

This morning we discovered Nathan contentedly covering himself, the carpet, and his bedroom door with marker. "What a wonderful world!" Isn't it crazy how Nathan finds delight in the same things that cause migraines in adults? Most men wish to leave their mark on this world, but toddlers, it seems, are the most successful...literally!

As I write this, Nick is reading with Nathan. I think they are on their fourth or fifth round of "Sheep in a Shop." I nearly have it memorized. I hear Nathan adding in the same commentary that I add as we read the book...."Hooray!", "Uh-oh!"...what a ham. He is incredibly observant. I enjoy the time that Nick spends with Nathan. For one, it gives me a reprieve, but secondly, Nathan craves this time with Daddy.

The news this morning is limited and unexciting, but in order to take advantage of my little break from the busy toddler, I wanted to share our 'colorful' morning with everybody. Hope Dad and Mom Jones are enjoying safe travel to El Paso. Hope Kyle is surviving his first full day at boot camp. Hope my parents are adjusting to this rather major life change. We can't wait to see all the folks when Nia is born. Time is ticking away...
