Memorial Day '07 was a beautiful day in Michigan! The sun was shining and the day was (this will be shocking, I know!) hot! Grandpa McNeil had made plans for our morning. Grandpa, Grandma, Nathan and I all went 30 minutes north of Grand Rapids to a huge flea market. The market was fun and complete with junk of all sorts. However, the best part of our visit was riding the train that circled the flea market. In the picture above, Nathan and Grandpa are watching the train as it pulls into the depot. "ALL ABOARD!"
We were all able to ride on the train and enjoyed the breeze in our open-air car. Nathan enjoyed the train ride in almost it's entirety. Toward the ride's end we went through a tunnel that terrified him. His eyes grew to twice their usual size and he curled up tight against Grandpa.

Here is a picture by the caboose of our train. Cute, isn't it?

After a delicious lunch and a much needed nap, Nathan headed outside to play 'golf' with Grandpa. He very much enjoys throwing the little golf ball with whomever seems most interested. Look out, though! That little ball hurts when thrown from close-range!

The evening hours were full of outdoor activity, too. Uncle Kyle even found a few minutes to play with Nathan. Kisses, anyone?

Nathan, our Hercules, attempts to push Uncle Kyle in the stroller. He is so ambitious! They don't budge an inch, but it was SO fun!

Finally, as is tradition, Nathan and Grandma go on their nightly walk. Tonight they burned off their calories while Mommy finished up some decorations for Kyle's Open House. Then they came home and refreshed themselves with fudgesicles. Yummm!

What a nice Memorial Day! Mommy talked with Daddy today and it was pouring rain in Houston! We wish Daddy could have been here with us instead. We are missing you!

It WAS a beautiful Memorial Day -- I'm so glad you guys had such great weather to enjoy the flea market and cool train (Grandpa Jones didn't even know there was a train there -- imagine that!)
