On Sunday, in the toddler class, the story of baby Moses was presented. I asked Nathan if he could provide a recap on the whole Moses scenario. He excitedly described a baby named Moses who had a great love for water and aquatic sports. This 'Moses' was an avid boater whose Mother would frequently set him up with a new sloop, wave goodbye from the nearest boat ramp, and then pick him up later, downstream. I inquired about the local government. I thought this might spark Nathan's memory as to a more Biblical version of the story. There was a king, Nathan replied, but the king didn't have a boat. Neither did the other children. Only Moses. And--at this point Nathan refers to the little craft they made (a little wooden clothespin Moses in a brown-bag-reed-basket)--Moses is so completely exhausted from boating that he has decided to nap. We say goodnight to Moses. Nathan thinks it is hilarious that Moses is sleeping while going "fast, fast!" down the river in his boat.

The Bible according to Nathan. =)
